Dear Friends of the Community, Council Members and
all those who care.
I Cantor Estherleon Schwartz a holocaust survivor,
community leader, a Volunteer Parachaplain at a major hospital in
Los Angeles and a Cantor for all peoples, have dealt with people’s
emotional and human conditions from birth to death. People need
inspiration, hope and purpose to fulfill their calling in this life,
especially in these times. They need to feel united and supported
with and by the community, “ the extended family” to achieve goals
for the community and for humanity.
It is my intention to unite and expand the strength
of each individual in the community “to serve as an extended family”.
This camaraderie will sustain hope for each other and is the link
between peoples, cities, nations and all walks of life. I would
like to make this a meaningful experience for those becoming now
involved, by giving them a chance to discuss what “cause speaks
to them” with seasoned, knowledgeable volunteers serving non-profits
to guide them.
The goals we are setting are practical, universal,
and humanitarian, all to preserve the dignity of this earth and
each other. This “HANDS ON” program for the community
gives everybody an opportunity, a chance to get involved and stay
involved.
My vision is a daily CALENDAR
for each month serving as a reminder of a daily dedication of social
and environmental action, that everyone can participate in simultaneously.
The calendar will be made available on the website www.peoplecando.org
for the community’s daily commitments. PeopleCanDo.org
- ACTION OF THE DAY, establishes a constant awareness. Distribution
of information for the calendar
will be through the website, media, Internet, libraries, merchants,
newspapers, magazines printed materials etc.
